History of the International Leprosy Congress
International Leprosy Congresses have been held for over 100 years, beginning with the meeting in Berlin in 1887. Organized by the International Leprosy Association since its establishment in 1931, these meetings have consistently brought together leading experts in the care of leprosy patients, research on all aspects of this disease, the charitable organizations and foundations which support leprosy work, and representatives of Ministries of Health throughout the world.
